Sinenhlanhla works at Spar Supermarket Ennerdale, South Africa as a Bakery Assistant. She completed her Baking and Consumer Sciences course at Don Bosco Educational Projects in 2017 and says she fell in love with baking. She says that most of young people in her area are hooked on drugs and other bad things and she didn’t want that life for herself. Sinenhlanhla was inspired by a friend who turned his life around after overcoming addiction by completing his welding course at DBEP. She says he gave her a DBEP brochure and encouraged her to attend. “DBEP taught me so many things, and one of them is the ability to work in a team because at our work we come from different backgrounds and it is important to work as a team. Today, I have a job and I am thankful to DBEP for the skills I learnt.”
